Liebe Freunde des HZT Berlin,
das Frühjahr bietet Vieles: Frühjahrsputz, Frühjahrsmüdigkeit, Frühlingsgefühle, Frühlingsfestival. Why not July? Performances in April, heißt das 2. BA Festival am HZT Berlin, mit Choreographien, Performances, Installationen und Filmen. Zum Festival erscheint erstmalig das Magazin „Bewegungstexte“ - gestaltet, geschrieben und herausgegeben von Studierenden des HZT Berlin. In den öffentlichen BA und MA SODA Lectures sprechen im April Marlon Barrios Solano und Prof. Dr. Boyan Manchev über wolkige Bewegungen, Subjektivität und Kreation. In den folgenden Monaten gibt es Exkurse in das Leben der Vierfüßer, den Stadtbewohner als Zuschauer und den Tango am Río de la Plata. 2012 ist das Hochschulübergreifende Zentrum Tanz Berlin (HZT) Gastgeber für den 12. internationalen Tanzmedizin Kongress. Unter dem Motto „Faszi/e/nation Tanz – bewegte Vernetzung“ gibt es Vorträge, Workshops, Weiterbildungen und Fallbeispiele. Im Februar haben wir die Absolventen des MA SODA verabschiedet. Im April begrüßen wir nun die neuen Studierenden des Masterstudiengangs Solo/Dance/Authorship und wünschen ihnen und allen Studierenden des HZT Berlin einen guten Semesterbeginn. Das Tanzquartier Wien widmet dem Künstler und Musiker John Cage im Rahmen von SCORES: cháos und im Kontext seines 100. Geburtstags in diesem Jahr, ein performatives Projekt, das die Idee der Prozesshaftigkeit, die John Cage auch in Hinblick auf die Engführung von Kunst und Alltag gedacht hat, aufgreift: Eine Reihe choreografischer Recherchen, die im Rahmen des Projektes Song Books als Spielanleitung – einer Zusammenarbeit der Akademie der Künste und des Hochschulübergreifenden Zentrums Tanz in Berlin - von verschiedenen KünstlerInnen entwickelt wurden, werden gemeinsam mit neu entstehenden Auftragsarbeiten in einem Raum zu erleben sein. Nachklapp: Anna Nowickas (MA Choreographie) Solo „Fire burning in your hair“ hat den HAU Jury-Preis beim 100° Festivals gewonnen. Aus der Jurybegründung: „Wir konnten in eine absolut beeindruckende und eigene Welt eintauchen, in der es eine große Interaktion zwischen Bewegungen, Musik und Publikum gab.“ Sie ist außerdem danceWEB Stipendiatin 2012 während ImPulsTanz in Wien. *** Aktuelles: Jee-Ae Lim (MA SODA) Arbeit "Co-Lab: Berlin-Seoul" wurde in Korea als "Rising Star" ausgezeichnet. Das Stück ist im November 2012 auf dem "Festival Tokyo" zu sehen. Jee-Ae Lim’ Solo "In it or out of it" ist im Oktober zum "Seoul Performing Art Festival" eingeladen. *** Anna Laura Lozza (BA Zeitgenössischer Tanz, Kontext, Choreographie) tanzt in Kat Valasturs Duett „Lang“, daß am 27. & 28. April beim Springdance Festival gezeigt wird. *** Tian Rotteveel (BA Zeitgenössischer Tanz, Kontext Choreographie) performt in BSIDES von Diego Gil vom 12.-14. April in der Tanzfabrik Berlin. Mit seinem Solo „Soulsqueezing“ war er zum ANTISTATIC International Festival for contemporary dance and performance in Sofia / Bulgarien vom 2. – 7. April eingeladen. Spring offers us many things: spring cleaning, spring fatigue, spring fever, spring festivals. “Why not July? Performances in April” is the 2nd BA festival at the HZT Berlin with choreographies, performances, installations and films. The first edition of the student magazine “Bewegungstexte” will also be published on this occasion. In April, Marlon Barrios Solano and Prof. Dr. Boyan Manchev will be speaking at the public BA and MA SODA lectures about cloud-like movement, subjectivity and creation. In the following months, excursions into the lives of four-legged creatures, citizens as an audience or Tango from the Río de la Plata will be offered. In 2012, the Inter-University Centre for Dance Berlin (HZT) is the host for the 12th international Dance Medecine Congress. The tanzquartier Wien is devoting a performative project to the artist and musician John Cage in the context of SCORES:cháos and his 100th birthday this year; it takes up the idea of process orientation that John Cage developed in the coalescence of art and daily life. A series of choreographic research pieces that were developed by various artists in the context of the “Song Books as Game Instructions” project (a cooperation between the Academy of the Arts Berlin and the HZT Berlin) can be seen in one space along with new commissioned works.
