Theorie der Zwielicht-Imagination

Erzählkunst und andere unglaubliche Geschichten: die Fiktionen des Kapitals scheinen durch eine Verwerfung des dunklen Wesens der Imagination charakterisiert zu sein. Zurückgreifend auf den deutschen Idealismus bezeichne ich mit Zwielicht Imagination, was die Formung der Welten, mythologischen Kreationen und cinematographischen Arbeiten bestimmt. Falls die Fiktionen des Kapitals wissen, wie man einige der Wirkungen der Imagination ausbeutet, so sind sie nicht in der Lage ihre Kraft auszulösen. Wir müssen ästhetisch und politisch Verantwortung übernehmen für diese Kraft im Namen einer psychischen Ökonomie von vorgestellter Beteiligung, einen Platz lassend für Passivität und Dunkelheit.

Frédéric Neyrat ist Philosoph, ehemaliger Direktor des College International de Philosophie in Paris und Mitglied des redaktionellen Beirats des einflussreichen interdisziplinären französischen Journals Multitudes. Seine Publikationen umfassen u.a. L'indemne: Heidegger et la destruction du monde (2008), Biopolitique des catastrophes (2008), Instructions pour une prise d’âmes. Wie lässt sich das Universelle repräsentieren?

Karlheinz Stockhausen komponierte „Hymnen" in den späten 60er Jahren. Diese Arbeit besteht aus einer dialektischen Konstruktion von Nationalhymnen, gegliedert in vier Bereiche, die so etwas wie „politische Mobilität" beschreiben. Aber „Hymnen" ist auch die Weiterführung eines per se westlichen Idioms: der Repräsentation der Universalität. Zusammen mit einer Gruppe von Studierenden des HZT und dem Musiker Alain Franco werden wir in „Hymnen" hineinhören und das Werk als Zugang nehmen, für die Erkundung wichtiger Aspekte bezüglich Nationen und Co-Existenz sowie technologischer Formate des Austauschs und der Integration.

Das Gespräch steht in Zusammenhang mit dem Projekt „Hymnen“ - einer Zusammenarbeit von Neuköllner Oper und HZT Berlin im Rahmen des Festivals „Move Opera“, das im August im Heimathafen Neukölln stattfinden wird.

Studierende des BA Studiengangs Tanz, Kontext, Choreographie des HZT Berlin sind zum ITs Festival nach Amsterdam eingeladen; dort teilen sie sich den Abend mit Studierenden der School for New Dance Development – SNDO Amsterdam. Ausgangspunkt für die Arbeit der dreizehn BA Studierenden mit dem Titel „Prècis“ ist der durch das Festival gesetzte Aufführungsrahmen, in nur 40 Minuten ihren Studiengang zu präsentieren. Die ChoreographInnen haben die ihnen zur Verfügung stehende Zeit gleichmäßig unter sich aufgeteilt: dreizehn Mini-Choreographien werden in einer Serie nebeneinandergesetzt und treten in einen Dialog an Ort und Stelle.

Zum dritten Mal ist das HZT Berlin zu SCHOOLS, dem internationalen Austauschtreffen von Tanz- und Choreographieausbildungen, eingeladen. Vom 29. Juni bis 4. Juli werden mehr als 50 Studierende gemeinsam trainieren, sich in Workshops mit verschiedenen Themen auseinandersetzen, diskutieren und ihre künstlerischen Arbeiten der Öffentlichkeit vorstellen. 2009 von Emmanuelle Huynh und Aymar Croisnier initiiert, wurde SCHOOLS bislang vom Centre nationale de danse contemporaine - CNDC Angers ausgerichtet. Die diesjährige Ausgabe wird in Montpellier im Rahmen des Festivals Montpellierdanse stattfinden und ist eine Koproduktion der Compagnie Mua/Emmanuelle Huynh und der École nationale supérieure d’art dramatique (ENSAD) sowie des Centre chorégraphique national Languedoc-Roussillon.

Neben dem BA Tanz, Kontext, Choreographie des HZT Berlin nehmen ESSAIS (MA) und FAC - Formation d’artiste chorégraphique (BA) der École Nationale Supérieure de danse contemporaine du CNDC d’Angers, Ex.e.r.ce (MA) des CCN - Centre chorégraphique national de Montepellier Languedoc-Roussillon, Université Paul-Valéry MTP3, MA Choreographie der Dans och Cirkushögskolan (University of Dance and Circus) Stockholm und Performing Arts Research and Training Studios, P.A.R.T.S., Brüssel teil.

Max ist neugierig. Max will mehr wissen. Max möchte das Land um das Uferdorf herum entdecken. Er fragt die Menschen, die in diesem Gebiet leben. Ein Gebiet, das Max jeden Tag durchqueren muss, um ins Uferdorf zu kommen. Max konfrontiert sich mit Meinungen um das Uferdorf herum.

Ein Abend mit Max und der Urbevölkerung, an dem Max sich mit Euch und mit Hilfe einer Video-Präsentation sowie einer geführten Tour über lokale Ideen über Choreographie austauschen möchte.

Die Veranstaltungsreihe MAX beschäftigt sich mit Perspektiven, Aspekten und Kontexten von Choreographie. Die verschiedenen Veranstaltungen werden von den Studierenden des Masterstudiengangs Choreographie (MAC) des HZT konzipiert.

Burghard Duhm, wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter der Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau, wird in diesem Vortrag der Frage nachgehen, weshalb es am historischen Bauhaus eine Bühne gab und wie sich Bühnenarbeit unter den spezifischen Bedingungen einer Hochschule für Gestaltung entwickeln konnte. Wer waren die Protagonisten, welche Bühnenideen wurden diskutiert und realisiert?

Der Vortrag findet im Rahmen der Kooperation des HZT Berlin mit der Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau für das vom Tanzfonds Erbe geförderte Projekt „Bauhaus tanzen“, statt.

Die SNDO ist wieder da! Wie bereits in den vergangenen Jahren werden Absolventinnen und Absolventen der School for New Dance Development Amsterdam - Esther Arribas, Carles Casallachs, Clara Amaral, Marina Colomina, Olga Tsvetkova, Marta Ziolek, Nina Djekic, Lisa Vereertbrugghen und Vincent Riebeek – an zwei Abenden in zwei unterschiedlichen Programmen ihre Abschlussarbeiten in den Uferstudios dem Berliner Publikum vorstellen. Im Gegenzug werden dann die diesjährigen Absolventinnen und Absolventen des BA Tanz, Kontext, Choreographie im September in Amsterdam im Het Veem ihre Arbeiten präsentieren. Theory of Twilight Imagination

Storytelling and other unbelievable stories: the fictions of capital seem to be characterised by a foreclosure of the dark essence of imagination. Rebounding on German idealism, I call twilight imagination that which governs the formation of worlds, mythological creations and cinematographic works. If the fictions of capital know how to exploit some of the effects of imagination, they are not able to release its load. We must take aesthetic and political responsibility for this load in the name of a psychological economy of imaginative contribution while leaving a place for passivity and darkness.

How to represent the universal?

Karlheinz Stockhausen composed “Hymnen” in the late 60’s. This work consists of a dialectic construction with national anthems divided into 4 regions depicting something like “political mobility”. But “Hymnen” is as well the continuation of a by essence Western idiom: the representation of universality.Together with a team of students at the HZT and musician Alain Franco we will listen into “Hymnen” as a Sesame to explore major issues on nations and co-existence, as well as technological formats of exchange and integration.

Students from the BA Dance, Context, Choreography programme of the HZT Berlin are invited to the ITs festival in Amsterdam. Here they will share the evening with students from the School for New Dance Development – SNDO Amsterdam. The point of departure for the 13 BA students’ work, titled "Prècis”, is the performance framework set by the festival: to present their programme in only 40 minutes. The choreographers have divided the available time equally: 13 mini-choreographies will be shown in a series and begin a dialogue on location.

MAX meets people

Max is curious. Max wants to know more. Max goes out to discover the land around the Uferdorf. He asks people, the people that live in this unknown area that Max has to cross every day in order to get to the Uferdorf. Max is confronted by opinions from around the Uferdorf.

An evening with Max and the natives, where Max is going to share – in a video presentation and guided tour – local ideas about choreography.

An event by Polyxeni Angelido and Karina Suárez-Bosche.

The MAX event series addresses perspectives, aspects and contexts of choreography. Students of the MA Choreography (MAC) at the HZT Berlin will conceive of all the events.

For the third time, the HZT Berlin is invited to SCHOOLS, the international exchange meeting for dance and choreography education programmes. From 29. June to 4. July, more than 50 students will train together, confront themselves with various subjects in workshops, discuss and present their artistic work to the public. Initiated by Emmanuelle Huynh and Aymar Croisnier, SCHOOLS had been organised by the Centre nationale de danse contemporaine - CNDC Angers. This year’s edition will take place in Montpellier in the context of the Montpellierdanse festival and is a co-production of the École nationale supérieure d’art dramatique (ENSAD) as well as the Centre chorégraphique national Languedoc-Roussillon.

Burghard Duhm, researcher at the Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau, will explore the question why there was a stage at the historic Bauhaus and how stage work could develop under the specific conditions of a university of design. Who were the protagonists, what stage ideas were discussed and realised?

The lecture is taking place in the context of a cooperation between the HZT Berlin and the Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau for the “Bauhaus tanzen” project, financed by the Tanzfonds Erbe.
