** click here for english version **

Sie präsentieren an zwei Abenden ihre choreographischen Abschlussarbeiten: Welcome to the Walrus!

Kommt in Scharen!

Ihre aktuelle Publikation ist: Changing the Conversation: The 17 Principles of Conflict Resolution.

Dear friends of the HZT Berlin,

we would like to welcome you to the spring and the new semester!

To begin, the SNDO-Amsterdam’s graduates will storm the Uferstudio’s stage. In two evenings, they will present their choreographic final projects: Welcome to the Walrus!

It continues young and wild: when the BA “Dance, Context, Choreography” students take over the studios, kitchen, courtyard and everything in between. Suddenly! the HZT BA Festival will celebrate happenings – without a specific subject, without any limits in content or aesthetics. Let yourself be surprised.

Dana Caspersen is the HZT’s guest on 25.4. and will demonstrates what choreographic thinking can illuminate about conflicts.

Come in droves! We are looking forward to seeing you!

With happy greetings,

The HZT Team

Suddenly! HZT BA Festival has no specific subject, and no limits in contents or aesthetics. Instead, it celebrates happenings as such: planned and unexpected events that will take place at the Uferstudios in Wedding. The festival invites the audience to experience and share the works, work processes, desires and ideas, challenges and experimental work approaches in different formats such as dance, performance or installations – but also in those formats that have not yet been defined and may occur in the moment of emergence.

Conflict specialist, choreographer, and performer Dana Caspersen believes in the power of the individual to positively transform destructive systems, and the efficacy of artistic technologies in enabling that action. Experience the physicalized methods she has developed for learning and creating change in conflicts—from interpersonal to international—in a unique interactive event that demonstrates what choreographic thinking can illuminate about conflict.

Caspersen’s work draws on 40 years of experience as a performing-arts innovator and extensive international research and practice in conflict analysis and social action. She was a principal artist with Ballet Frankfurt and the Forsythe Company for 30 years, and has developed choreographic work, films, installations, stage texts, and 30 years worth of iconic roles in the oeuvre of choreographer William Forsythe. She is the author of Changing the Conversation: The 17 Principles of Conflict Resolution.
